  2. Here are some simple instructions for getting the SupraFax 9600 or
  3. 14400 modem up and running on CNet AMIGA 2.x:
  4.  
  5. With the modem online to a terminal progam (any terminal program), issue
  6. the following commands:
  7.  
  8. AT&F2        <-- load factory default set #2
  9.  
  10. ATL0        <-- speaker volume 0
  11. ATM0        <-- speaker off
  12.  
  13. ATN1        <-- connect at highest possible speed
  14.  
  15. ATW2        <-- report connection with TERMINAL not COMPUTER
  16.  
  17. ATS2=31        <-- escape hangup code
  18.  
  19. ATS7=50        <-- time to wait for carrier
  20.  
  21. ATS38=0        <-- delay before forced disconnect
  22.  
  23. AT&W        <-- write these changes to the modem's RAM
  24. AT&W1
  25.  
  26.  
  27. Now, in your CNet BBSPORTx file, you need to set the initialization strings
  28. to:
  29.  
  30. ATZ        <-- 1st initialization string
  31. AT        <-- 2nd initialization string
  32.  
  33. And the baud rate information to:
  34.  
  35. 19200        <-- Waiting for call baud rate
  36. 1        <-- Lock the baud rate
  37.  
  38. Also, the time to wait for carrier to 50 seconds:
  39.  
  40. 50        <-- Seconds to wait for carrier
  41.  
  42. That's it!  The only other thing to remember is to keep your Supra modem
  43. COOL.  They are notorious for "crashing" whenever they feel it's getting
  44. just a little too hot for comfort!
  45.
